News: Welcome to ppdpeersupport.com. This support forum was created by mom's, just like you, who have dealt with postpartum depression following the birth of one or more children. Postpartum depression/mood disorders affects an estimated 15%-20% of new mom's regardless of age, race, education, income and culture. If you are a new mom and find yourself feeling lonely, scared, isolated, anxious, irritable, confused, unable to sleep or fearful of harmimg yourself or your baby it is important that you seek the advice of your medical professional as PPD can worsen if left untreated. The purpose of this site is not to provide medical advice but to provide mom to mom peer support to women dealing with the effects of PPD and PPMD.
